Activity Description:

On February 6, 2013, the Protocol of International Cooperation between UFPA and the École Nationale Supérieure Des Mines d'Albi-Carmaux, France, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union, Section 3 - page 57. The document was signed by Dr. Maria Inês Ré, research director and deputy director of the Center Rapsodee, a French institution and director of a technological platform in advanced pharmaceutical technologies to support the industry (GALA platform), which associates five different research laboratories in France. Dr. Maria Inês Ré is a member of the faculty staff of the PPGCF.

Activity Description:

The Program cooperates with the Atlanta Center for Disease Control (CDC) in the United States through the researcher Micheal Green who works in the Malaria Research Laboratory, along with the professors of the PPGCF Maria Fani Dolabela, José Luiz Fernandes Vieira and Marcieni Andrade de Ataíde, the latter coordinator of the project "Study of Factors Associated with Adherence to the Treatment of Malaria", which has Micheal Green as a collaborating member.

Activity Description:

PPGCF has the central position as a contributor to the Quality Control Program for Antimalarial Analysis, developed by the World Wide Antimalarial Resistance Network, a research platform linked to the Melinda Gates Foundation and the University of Oxford, UK.

Activity Description:

Partnership between PhD Professor Michael D. Coleman of the School of Life and Health Sciences, Aston University, Birmingham-UK, and Marta Chagas Monteiro, Professor of the Program. The collaboration involves a research project on the mechanisms of toxicity of sulfones.

Activity Description:

In order to collaborate with the qualification of human resources in the area of ​​Pharmaceutical Sciences, PPGCF has been participating in institutional actions that promote the offer of vacancies for students from other countries. Following this perspective, the Program has already allocated two scholarships to the Program of Alliances for Education and Training - PAEC (Organization of American States - OEA / Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities - GCUB), which is intended to internationalize graduate students with nationality and / or residence in OEA member states, except Brazil, promoting the greater integration of Brazilian universities in the region, encouraging scientific and cultural exchange, improving international student mobility and supporting the human development of outstanding individuals in the Americas. PPGCF also participated in the training of human resources of African Countries, within the scope of the various Programs of the Brazilian Government with countries of that continent.

Collaboration with the Department of Chemistry of the State University of the Center-West of Paraná (UNICENTRO), through Professor Marta Chagas Monteiro (PPGCF) and Dr. Yohandra Reyes Torres. The partnership involves the development of research with natural products, propolis and bioactive molecules.

Activity Description:

Partnership with the Chemistry group, linked to the Chemistry Department of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), São Paulo, which involves participation in the chemical evaluation of natural products. The collaboration is under the responsibility of Professor Marta Chagas Monteiro, a professor at PPGCF.

Activity Description:

Professor Wagner Barbosa is responsible for coordinating the Network for Strengthening and Strategic Innovation of the Productive Chain of Extracts and Oils of the Paraense Amazon Applied to Phytotherapics and Phytocosmetics (REFITAM), created from the Transversal Research Projects Order, the Financier of Studies and Projects (FINEP). The network aims to benefit the implementation of state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure for phytochemical analyzes of extracts and oils from the Amazon. REFITAM has support from PPGCF teachers, as well as from other graduate programs and national and international institutions.

Activity Description:

PPGCF is part of a joint action formed by its professors called the Amazon Nanotechnology Network Applied to Drugs (RANAF). The project is aimed at the Nanoencapsulation of anti-inflammatory drugs of natural and synthetic origin, in polymer matrices for controlled release. RANAF also receives support from Brazilian institutions such as the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP) and the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), and foreign institutions such as the University of Havana, Cuba, and the Department of Chemistry of Sri Krishnadevaraya University, India.
