Cooperation with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

PPGCF, through the researcher Micheal Green, has interaction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a US government agency based in Atlanta, Georgia. Green integrates the team of the Malaria Research Laboratory at the CDC, with the collaboration of teachers Maria Fani Dolabela, José Luiz Fernandes Vieira and Marcieni Andrade de Ataíde. The latter coordinates the project "Study of Factors Associated with Adherence to the Treatment of Malaria", in which Michael Green is a collaborating member.

 

Interaction with other institutions

The program also has interactions with several non-governmental institutions, public agencies and associations related to health in the Amazon region, through graduates of the course that will be working in various sectors of society and members of the program's faculty that have links with municipal, state, and federal health authorities. As for example, the teacher Wagner Barbosa who is part of the committee of phytotherapeutics of Brazilian herbal medicine, linked to the National Agency of Sanitary Surveillance (ANVISA).
